Hesperia is proud to celebrate the achievements of 18 Aboriginal students from disadvantaged communities across the Perth metro area, supported through our Learning for Life scholarships with The Smith Family. These scholarships have provided students with access to vital educational resources, personalised support, and targeted learning programs, helping them overcome barriers created through educational inequity, and in turn, enabling them to thrive academically.

Like The Smith Family, Hesperia believes education is one of the most powerful agents of change. As such, Hesperia are proud to announce a new partnership with The Smith Family and its core Learning for Life program, which aims to overcome educational inequality caused by intergenerational poverty.

At Hesperia, we are taking steps to help end plastic pollution by participating in Plastic Free July for a third consecutive year.

To continue Hesperia’s focus on sustainability, a group of Hesperia staff members, accompanied by several other passionate individuals, recently embarked on a trip to the Witchcliffe Ecovillage. The team, including Brad Pettitt MLC, founder of DesignFreo Pippa Hurst, and builder Jeremy Scrivener, aimed to explore and learn from this innovative sustainable development located in Margaret River.

Hesperia is driven by a vision to deliver projects of meaning and enduring value. This commitment extends beyond our day-to-day operations, to ensure every aspect of the business supports a healthy and vibrant Western Australia.

Months of preparation and training culminated on the weekend, with three Hesperia teams successfully completing the 19.7-kilometre Rottnest Channel Swim. Early on Saturday morning, thousands of participants swam in the 33rd annual event from Cottesloe Beach to Rottnest Island.

Four new and experienced cyclists will be representing Hesperia in this year’s Hawaiian Ride for Youth event. The 700km ride is held in March each year across four and a half days, with cyclists covering Western Australia’s South west, Great Southern and Wheatbelt regions.

Hesperia is committed to delivering meaningful improvements in social, environmental, and economic outcomes for the communities in which we operate.

Hesperia is committed to exploring procurement and supply chain opportunities with a wide range of Indigenous businesses, services and suppliers. For this reason, Hesperia attended the 2022 Indigenous Emerging Business Forum (IEBF) for the second year in a row.
