Rivermark Recognised For Excellence in Sustainability

Rivermark was certified in all six categories of EnviroDevelopment accreditation, including water, energy, community, materials, waste and ecosystems. Projects that achieve certification have proven they are leaders in the sector and offer many advantages to buyers for sustainable living.

Rivermark will incorporate a range of design and construction principles, demonstrating Hesperia’s goal of creating new benchmarks in sustainable development, including a commitment to achieving net-zero carbon emissions.

Hesperia Director Judd Dyer said Rivermark residents will have access to natural amenities, including established parklands that border the beautiful Swan River, as well as numerous schools, shops, public transport, hospitals and major road networks within easy reach.

“The EnviroDevelopment program provided an important verification of our sustainability initiatives at Rivermark, as it recognises the future of sustainable development in our industry. We will continue to build upon these initiatives,” Judd said.

“We are implementing comprehensive design guidelines for homes at Rivermark, and have made use of environmentally friendly materials, such as low-carbon concrete and recycled road material in the civil and landscape works.”

Located in Viveash, just 16 kilometres from the Perth CBD, Rivermark has also been endorsed by Water Corporation as a Gold Waterwise Development, achieving great outcomes in water efficiency and natural stormwater management.

Additional plans for Rivermark include maximising tree retention and planting; extensive rehabilitation of natural ecosystems; solar energy systems for dwellings, including energy storage; and sustainability incentives for each dwelling and waterwise landscaping.
