Murdoch Square welcomes five new tenants

Hesperia is pleased to welcome national leaders in health, disability, and hospitality to Murdoch Square.

Joining anchor tenant Courtyard by Marriot are Clinipath Pathology, Western Diagnostics Pathology and Ability WA, supported by retailers Sushia and Apothecary Taphouse, the latest venture from those behind the Wembley Hotel.

The tenancy mix at Murdoch Square has been carefully selected to deliver a truly mixed-use development across the 1.2-hectare site.

The precinct offers innovative and connected workspaces in one of Australia’s largest specialist zones and is expected to host over 10,000 visitors daily.

Hesperia Development Director Ian Smyth said the interest from Australian industry leaders has proven it was the right decision to revisit the precinct’s plans in 2020.

“Our updated plans provide a unique opportunity for tenants to operate in a desirable, high traffic area. We have accommodated office spaces, medical specialists, healthcare and aged care facilities in a central location,” Ian said.

“Murdoch Square will set a benchmark for innovative mixed-use developments across Australia and internationally.”

The precinct is strategically situated 13 kilometres south of Perth’s CBD and within 500 metres of the Murdoch Train Station.

“The precinct couldn’t be in a better location. Murdoch Square is accessible via bus and rail, and more importantly, its services and community spaces will provide much needed support to the existing infrastructure being Fiona Stanley Hospital and St John of God Private Hospital,” Ian said.

The project delivers over 80,000sqm of gross floor area, connecting five buildings across three green titles with an integrated basement carpark and central landscaped community plaza.

Murdoch Square is scheduled for completion in late-2023 and will form the heart of the Murdoch Activity Centre. The development is a joint venture between Hesperia and Aegis Health.

Murdoch Square’s six remaining tenancies are expected to be filled soon.
