ABN Group’s flagship office in Leederville has been awarded a 5-Star Green Star Design and As Built rating by the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA).
Sustainable initiatives have been integrated throughout the ABN Building, including solar panels, electric car charging infrastructure, end-of-trip facilities, and dedicated waste storage, enabling the separation of waste streams to align with the local recycling scheme.
Green Star Design and As Built is an internationally recognised rating system that assesses the sustainability outcomes of a project’s design and construction against nine holistic impact categories. It also aims to encourage the industry to create buildings that are not just green but healthy, liveable, productive, resilient and sustainable.
Driven by our Sustainability Strategy 2021 – 2026, Hesperia has integrated sustainable initiatives into every project at Hesperia. Our sustainability group supports teams in capturing and delivering on opportunities within each project, ensuring alignment with the Strategy.
Director Kyle Jeavons said GBCA recognition is an important verification of the sustainability initiatives at the ABN Office.

ABN Building comprises a five-level office and a ground-floor showroom for ABN Group, complete with a bustling food laneway and an entertainment precinct that creates critical pedestrian connections from Vincent Street through to Newcastle Street. Standing on the site of the old Leederville Hotel carpark, the building spans 10,000 square metres and houses more than 900 ABN Group employees.

Silk K2 Celebrates 6 Star Green Star Facility at Roe Highway Logistics Park
In collaboration with tenant Silk Contract Logistics, Hesperia has successfully achieved Western Australia’s second 6 Star Green Star (Design & As-Built) industrial facility at 106 Logistics Boulevard in Kenwick, within the Roe Highway Logistics Park. This facility is one of only a few in Australia to achieve this prestigious sustainability certification. Spanning 24,000sqm, the $40m Silk K2 facility includes a 700sqm two-storey office, two 100sqm dock offices, a 3,250sqm super canopy, and a 7,350sqm container-rated hardstand.
