Project Background
Originally designed by architect Edwin Summerhayes, Rechabite Hall was erected in 1925 for the Independent Order of Rechabites.
Over its lifetime, the hall has played a significant role in the social life of Northbridge as a venue for balls, dance exhibitions, church services, conferences, annual meetings, school productions and an election polling station.
After lying dormant for over eight years, the recent restoration and transformation of this heritage-listed building has allowed its doors to once again be open to the public.
This heritage refurbishment has brought life back to a unique space in the centre of Northbridge.
