Commencing construction in February 2021, the precinct officially opened to the public in March 2024, featuring the Courtyard by Marriott Murdoch hotel, alongside various retail, medical, and office spaces. This development has redefined traditional planning guidelines by seamlessly integrating five freehold lots to create a central public realm, significantly enhancing the value of the development to the community. This central plaza, enriched with mature trees and native plants, serves as a vibrant hub for visitors and the local community to meet, collaborate, and enjoy natural surroundings, promoting a sense of community and well-being.

Murdoch Square is Western Australia’s newest mixed-use and healthcare precinct, featuring a 150-room Courtyard by Marriott Hotel, 182-bed Aegis Aged Care, specialist medical suites, 80-bed medi-hotel, commercial offices, 14 build-to-rent residences; plus 13 specifically designed SDA apartments, early learning centre, retail, and food & beverage operators as well as a hospital.

Comprising five buildings over the 1.2ha site, totalling 80,000m2 GFA across the precinct, a three-level basement carpark connects all five buildings.  It is located next to Fiona Stanley Hospital, and connected to Murdoch Square via a bridge, opposite St John of God Murdoch and the planned Women and Babies Hospital and Orthonova Orthopaedic Hospital.
