Topping-Out at Victoria House

Hesperia’s Victoria House project has reached its topping out milestone – marking the completion of major structural works.

The $75 million dollar Victoria House will be at the heart of the Montario Quarter village precinct in Shenton Park. The formally underutilised pocket in the sought-after Western Suburbs will now be home to one-, two- and three-bedroom residences across three boutique buildings, Ochre, Umber and Siena.

In parallel, the team is meticulously refurbishing the original heritage-listed Victoria House, originally built in 1938 – a detailed process to repair the former hospital’s striking exterior and return it to its former glory.

This will become a unique commercial offering with high profile tenants that include renowned bakers Hot Bread Retail Group and, award-winning paediatric health service provider Western Kids Health.

Hesperia Director Kyle Jeavons said the topping out milestone was a moment for the Victoria House team to pause and reflect on the significance of their progress.

“Community is at the heart of Victoria House and reaching topping out brings this this exciting project a significant step closer to completion ahead of welcoming its new residents in early 2023,” he said.

“The site is steeped in such a long history and it’s a privilege to be bringing its next chapter to life. It’s not something we take lightly, and we’re delighted to reach this milestone.

“I’d like to acknowledge our local builder PACT Construction for their ability to navigate a highly challenging 12-months in construction to meet this milestone.”

Developed by the team behind highly acclaimed heritage projects the State Buildings and COMO The Treasury, Victoria House is a genuine collaboration between Hesperia and a carefully selected group of local design specialists.

The project team is comprised of a range of leading design practices including internationally renowned residential architecture practice MJA Studio along with FINESPUN (project architect), Palassis Architects (heritage architect), Place Laboratory (landscape architect) and leading local builder PACT Construction.
