Project Background

The new Victoria House will become the heart of Montario Quarter’s village precinct.

Victoria House delivers a redefined approach to apartment living, with the residences centred around the original building.

The historic Victoria House provides residents and the local community with amenities, including a lounge and alfresco BBQ, a wine room, a multi-purpose workshop, meeting rooms, and a produce garden. To secure approvals for the site, our team designed an approach that would respect the site’s heritage, ensuring the development would be mindful of its surroundings.

Project Details

A sensitive, site-specific approach for a heritage-listed site in Perth’s western suburbs.

To secure approvals for the site, our team designed an approach that would respect the site’s heritage, ensuring the development would be mindful of its surroundings. Partnering with MJA Studio and FINESPUN, the original building’s radial arrangement informed the final architectural design. This careful design has built a strong sense of place that remains sensitive to the surroundings.

Victoria House was sustainably designed for environmentally friendly living. Energy-passive design embedded solar networks, PV solar panels, improved acoustic performance, high-performance glazing, and a selection of efficient features are among the initiatives implemented.
