Hesperia welcomes Western Kids Health to Victoria House

Award-winning paediatric health service provider, Western Kids Health is set to open its largest centre in Perth as part of our Victoria House project.

Renowned for their evidence-based, integrated treatment environments, Western Kids Health have secured the largest of the available commercial tenancies at Victoria House – 1,000 sqm of floorspace over two levels within soon to be restored heritage-listed development.

Western Kids Health’s Founder and Managing Director, Nicole Pates, said the new facility and its iconic location would revolutionise primary health care for babies, children and teens by shifting the treatment experience away from that of a typical medical clinic.

“When we were first introduced to the concept of Victoria House, we were immediately struck by the unique opportunity to pay respect to the heritage building whilst also creating a care experience unlike anything else in WA.

“Kids need room to move, and Victoria House gives us this whilst also providing the opportunity to create dedicated treatment areas to cater for different age groups. The high ceilings, jarrah floorboards, beautiful natural light and heritage features make it feel more like a home than a medical clinic, which is exactly what we want for the families we treat,” said Pates.

Carefully conceived to maximise space, the ground floor of the new facility will be the heartbeat and epicentre of patient services with four different therapy gyms, 10 consult rooms, monkey bars, flying foxes, pilates studios and sports performance equipment – the entire floor dedicated to client rehabilitation.

Level 1 will feature an array of boutique services for integrated health care services for children, teens and young adults with varying health needs. In addition, this level will also include training and education spaces, a business centre, meeting rooms, offices and retreat-style facilities for staff.

Hesperia Director, Kyle Jeavons said they were thrilled to welcome Western Kids Health to the carefully curated mix of retail, health and hospitality tenants at Victoria House.

“Victoria House has community at its heart, and the work Western Kids Health do within the wider community made them a natural fit for us.

“The site is of course also steeped in a long history of health care and rehabilitation, so the opportunity for Western Kids Health to continue the legacy of what once sat here is something we’re really looking forward to,” said Kyle.

With facilities in Hillarys and Mount Hawthorn, the new Western Kids Health centre will be the greatest of the three, allowing the team to care for and treat more young people each year.

“Hesperia has really considered the mix of tenants and uses to cultivate a genuine, community-focussed precinct at Victoria House and for us that’s the most important element.

“It’s a new chapter for Western Kids Health, but we’re thrilled to be working with Hesperia to bring our vision to life and increase our paediatric health care service offering across the Perth metro area,” said Nicole Pates.

Western Kids Health is set to open in line with the completion of Victoria House which is slated for late-2022.
